Step Over Toe Hold
The step over toe hold toe hold is applied with your opponent
on their back. You will hook one leg under your other side arm pit between
their ankle and calf. The foot is trapped as you keep it snug under your
arm. You then step over your opponents trapped leg , placing your foot on
the mat, near their hip. Your other knee goes down on the mat. Pressure is
applied as you pull upwards with your upper body. Your “step over” leg on
your opponents thigh and your forearm under their upper ankle create a
double bar. This hold in a kneeling position is mostly a control hold as
your leverage to pull upwards is limited.
