What is Black Boot Wrestling?

Wristlock

The top wristlock is another effective hold in wrestling. There are two versions of the hold that I find particularly interesting. The first version is the top wrist lock used most in professional wrestling. It is a legitimate hold and can be painful but is more of a control hold. It is used mostly in the standing position and is a good hold to maneuver your opponent and a lot of times you end up in the hold as a result of a reversal from a standing hammer lock. If put on the left arm of your opponent, your right hand is outside and controls the wrist while your left arm goes in between your opponents bicep and forearm and clasps your own forearm to complete the hold.
